This show was placed on Grateful Dead & Friends radio program today. I had to call the station to ask if it was a SBD since I couldn't find one on the Archive. Low and behold they were playing the Miller-Silberman AUD. They played the second set and it was a very fine show. Take a listen for yourself.

Enjoy!

From DB 9
by Blair Jackson
"The 1st set was played at fever pitch (except TLEO) and it seemed to accelerate as the storm clouds appeared... By the time of C/R the temp dropped several degrees and a cold rain was falling. If you have a tape, check out how fast the C/R is.
We waited the storm out, which did pass in about an hour. For most of the second set we were treated with an amazing sky-show of blowing gray, and silver clouds giving way so every often to bursts of bright sunshine and turquoise skies. In an era when TWAS was still a rarity, it seemed like the perfect good-time opener... The whole set was fast and intense, (except China Doll which is slow and intense) and played with real gusto. During drumz a rainbow appeared in the distance behind the stage. and stayed the until Garcia and Weir came back for TOO. Towards the end of the set the rains picked up again. CR&S ,what a great choice! All the more special as Phil sung for the first time in years.
After a night of revelry in the main square.."
Jackson really likes 9-11-83 2nd.

The China-Rider transition is out of control! Jerry must have been high as a kite but I've always enjoyed this version as well as the whole show. Nice call on this-I know a board surfaced for either the 10th or 11th but the aud was better (for both nights)
